Being present to the Presence

Raven’s Rest Hermitage has recently undergone remodeling and refurnishing as an individual retreat space. It is located on the lower level of Still Wood,  our home, which is situated on a forested mountainside of the Newfound Range in the rural Smokies and surrounded by a thousand acres of undeveloped woodlands. The Hermitage has its own separate entrance.

Raven’s Rest is a fully furnished two-room apartment with a view of the Smokies. It consists of a bedroom, full bath, kitchenette, and sitting room. We ask retreatants to bring their own food and make a donation of whatever they can for their stay.  Guests may walk wooded trails over private property that include lovely ponds and beautiful views.  Spiritual guidance is available upon request, but no formal programs are offered. When the remodeling and refurbishing are completed, more photos will be provided.
